ABOUT the AUTHOR
​Bill Mullins received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He is Professor Emeritus of History at Oklahoma Baptist University and lives in Federal Way, Washington.​
Bill published an earlier book about Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland during the Hoover years of the Great Depression. His articles on twentieth-century American history have appeared in the Pacific Northwest Quarterly; Nine: A Journal of Baseball, History, and Culture; and The Chronicles of Oklahoma. ​
​ When he is not researching and writing he enjoys golf and running.
